On 15 May 2026, the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, University of Maribor, hosted the BIOSHIELD Conference and Biotechnology Fair, bringing together around 80 participants including academics, researchers, agricultural professionals, students, and industry representatives.
The event presented the BIOSHIELD project and its educational outputs alongside innovative biotechnological solutions for climate-resilient agriculture. The accompanying Biotechnology Fair provided an opportunity to explore practical applications of biotechnology, exchange experiences and discover innovative solutions relevant to sustainable agriculture under increasingly variable and unpredictable climatic conditions.
